He was a retired construction superintendent and had a long career working in Central Florida as well as many countries around the world. He was widowed in 2010 but has enjoyed the loyal companionship of his yellow lab, Max. Jim is survived by his son, Mike Mays, daughter Jodie Shaw, and grandchildren Megan and Scott Shaw. He will be missed by his family and friends but we are grateful to God, he was spared suffering and passed peacefully. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 31, 2018 in the Becker Chapel with Reverend Jerald Hicks to officiate. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the start of the service & burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
